Beautiful hotel on lovely grounds with a fabulous pool. Relaxing, romantic and serene. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was very nice. Air conditionng worked very well. The staff in general were very friendly and helpfull.
Far from 5 star service. We arrived at 3pm and asked for lunch. The reply was sorry the kitchen is closed. We had to ask twice for shower gel in our room. The dinner menu did not change or have any specials for the 6 nights of our stay. We asked about vineyard tours locally but the answer was 'I dont know'!!!

Beautiful surroundings and park including a nice outdoor swimming pool. The building is beautifull. The people of the hotel are very nice and very willing to deliver service, but as a result of the limited staff available it sometime take some time to find somebody available to serve.
At arrival we we put in a room we did not book and this was corrected two days later when the rooms we had booked became available. The Spa that is advertised is very small and availability is limited. Next to this the Spa was limited to half an hour per person. This is far too short to enjoy a spa. The availability of the food is limited to fixed hours and the quality is not consistent. The same dishes had different flavours per day. The pasta's my wife had were undercooked. As a result of this we did not stay for the full 9 nights. The change in booking was handled in a decent way by the management of the hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay at this luxurious hotel. The location was perfect, tucked away in a lovely quiet spot surrounded by historic and well-maintained buildings. The grounds were stunning, with a beautiful pool and tennis court, providing us with plenty of opportunities for relaxation and recreation.
We highly recommend this venue for anyone seeking enhanced comfort and quality services.

We loved everything about this hotel. The dinner was superb, staff, rooms, facilities all excellent. Front desk staff gave us a tour of other suites for consdeation on another visit as we will definitely be returning. Ths was a memorable property, but the staff made it extra special!
I hate the wall mounted hotel hair dryers. When you are paying to stay at a 4 star hotel you want a real hair dryer, not a "toy" one you have to hold a button down on the entire time to use . Just give us one you can buy at media world for under ten euros!

The building and the grounds.
As there were two weddings the weekend we stayed, we were not made to feel welcome and were not shown the hotel facilities. The staff were all too busy. Breakfast was taken in a cellar, very little food and very poor service. It was only on our 4th morning there that we had breakfast in the dining room and could eat on the terrace. This hotel was expensive and did not give you value for money. I would not recommend it or stay here again.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The best aspects of our experience were the lovely quiet location, historic and well maintained buildings, very nice grounds with a pool and tennis court, and the good and pleasant service provided by the staff. We also appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel, the available facilities, the convenient parking, and the excellent transportation options in this city. The breakfast provided was delicious and the staff was always friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Excellent setting - fantastic room (we had one of the chappel rooms)
The breakfast was a bit modest - a bit more variation would have been appreciated.

Terrible lack of soundproofing in high floor bedrooms./ you can everything through the roof space!!! Hotel hosts events/weddings which could cause disturbance.

The location of the hotel was peaceful and serene, surrounded by beautiful trees and gardens. the buildings were well-maintained and historic. the pool and tennis court were great amenities to have, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.
We were incredibly disappointed with the terrible lack of soundproofing in the rooms on the higher floors. We could hear every single noise coming through the roof space, including events and weddings that were being hosted by the hotel.

The location of the hotel was very peaceful and quiet, which made for a relaxing holiday. The historic buildings were well maintained and added a touch of charm to the overall experience. The hotel grounds were beautiful, with a lovely pool and tennis court available for guests to use. The service provided by the staff was good, and they were always pleasant and helpful. The restaurant had a nice ambiance, although it was a bit formal.
The lack of soundproofing in the high floor bedrooms was a major issue. You could hear everything through the roof space, which made it difficult to sleep peacefully at night.
